I had a wonderful day practising Ahimsa yoga with Lianne @flowyogauk and the lovely people who attended our event.
We started the day with a energising welcome juice and a talk with Lianne about the elements of Ahimsa and what self care means to each of us. It was really interesting to hear more about it and also share stories within the group.
Lianne then held a flow yoga session while I finished preparing lunch, which was a pleasure to make and share with everyone who came. It was truly fantastic to see all of the new faces with a similar mindset come together and share a meal.
The dishes I served were all vegan (in the theme of ahimsa which means non harming) and as well as being kind to the planet, they were designed to be kind to our bodies too (even the desserts… because we all need a bit of sugar every now and then!) The afternoon consisted of a brilliant self massage lesson with Joanne and finally a very therapeutic and relaxing hour of yin yoga.
I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the day and it was a pleasure to meet everyone who came. Huge thanks to Lianne to organising it for us and I can’t wait to host more events like this in the future!
